Sparkling eyes in the dark

I have a profound affection for all things that sparkle! This is why my BJDs sport a generous amount of shimmer in their BJD face-ups, and I insist that their eyes’ pupils must glisten like precious gems.

I firmly believe that failing to capture the allure of these eyes would be a missed opportunity!

How to photograph BJD gem eyes?

The most effective means of showcasing their beauty to the world is enveloping them in radiant light.

You must let the light hit mainly on the eyes and leave the rest of the face in darker shades. This technique, called Framing in photography, is especially effective when you want to draw attention to your main subject. In this case, I want her gorgeous eyes to be the main focus.

As a result, the photos below are a product of my spontaneous photography sessions, driven by my love for experimenting with natural sunlight.

My Diana is Fairyland Feeple60 Antique Rabbit Miwa.
